Regulation

1. Course structure.

The Philharmonic Orchestra of Pitesti, a legal public institution for concerts, under the authoity of The Local Council of Pitesti, is organising an international conducting course under the wand of master Dumitru Goia. The course will take place at the Philharmonic’s headquarters.
Dumitru Goia, conductor and doctor of musicology, has an impressive professional experience. As a  professor, an artistic director and conductor of various prestigious institutions in St. Petersburg, Viena and Republic of Moldova etc., the master is supervising orchestras and the artistic fates of young conductors – students and postgraduates at the National Music University of Bucharest. A of 2000, every year, the professor is leading the master – class in the arts of conducting.

1. Course objectives.

    The course’s objectives are the discovery, training and promotion of young talents of everywhere.

1. Proposal.

    The Philharmonic Orchestra of Pitesti is offering the following :

1. Prof. Dumitru Goia will lead a 10 class conducting course with a final concert at the completion of the course.
2. Free transportation Bucharest – Pitesti ( on the 25th of June) and Pitesti – Bucharest ( on the 2nd of July)  and hotel reservations.
3. Rehearsal and concert halls.
4. The philharmonic’s orchestra ( on the 29th and 30th of June and the 1st of July) according to the programme’s schedule.
5. An aiding pianist on the 26th, 27th and 28th of June.
6. A violinist for the concert.
7. Accounting and juridical service.
8. The required publicity.
9. The good functioning of all services.
10.  The best participant will be programmed in the Philharmonic’s concert season.

1. F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy – „Hebrides” overture.
2. F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy – Violin and orchestra concert in Mi minor.
3. P.I. Ceaikovski – Symphony Nr. 5.

1.  Timetable.

25.06.10 – Arrival, transportation to Pitesti, fee payoff, and the participants’ accommodation.
26.06.10, h. 11.00-14.30 – piano rehearsal.
26.06.10, h. 18.00-21.30 – piano rehearsal.
27.06.10, h. 11.00-14.00 – piano rehearsal.
27.06.10, h. 18.00-21.30 – piano rehearsal.
28.06.10, h. 11.00-14.00 – piano rehearsal.
28.06.10, h. 18.00-21.30 – piano rehearsal.
29.06.10, h. 11.00-14.30 – orchestra rehearsal.
30.06.10, h. 11.00-14.30 – orchestra rehearsal.
30.06.10, h. 18.00-21.30 – orchestra rehearsal.
01.07.10, h. 11.00-15.00 – general rehearsal.
01.07.10, h. 11.00-15.00 – final concert.
02.07.10 – participants departure.

1. Fees.

     The coursants will pay a participation fee of 800 Euro or the equivalent in RON, of which 100 Euro is the nonreturnable enlistment fee that will be aquitted by bank transfer until the 25th of May 2010.
Romanian coursants will pay the equivalent of the specified amounts in RON ( RON account : RO17TREZ0465010XXX005818, opened at Pitesti Treasury) .
Foreign coursants will pay the specified amounts in Euro or in RON. Euro account : RO77 RNCB 0022105944020004 oened at BCR Pitesti.
The course participants will pay all expenses regarding accommodation and food.

    The participants must have the following :

2. Curriculum vitae.
3. Application form.
4. 1 photo ( regular or on a digital device).
5. 1 or more DVDs.
